Reflection

English 2010-021 is the class that I took this semester. During the course of the class I was able to learn how to approach reading and research critically, analytically, and rhetorically. My performance on the assignment demonstrates my progress. As the course continued, the assignment became more into details, and so my work improved.

One thing that really helped with the assignments and papers was the rubric, and the rough drafts. It helped me adapt strategies of argumentation, style and design for the writing situation. I also got to understand how to appropriately cite sources for the writing situation. In groups I got to understand and respond critically to other students work, and become a participant in the conversation.

It was tough to revise my own work, because I’m revising an assignment that was final at the time, and so it makes it hard to find errors to improve on my own. I had to go back to the examples on the book, the rubric, and the rough drafts to be able to improve my work.

I picked the Memoir, Report, and Proposal for my ePortfolio, because the papers stayed with the same topic. But the genre and style change on all three. This is a way to show my edit writing so that my final paper contains minimum errors.
